GUIDE THERMAL RIFLESCOPE TU650S APEX VISION 640X512
Guide TU650S thermal riflescope, top of the TU 3.0 APEX VISION series: 15 mK 640×512 sensor, 50 mm F0.9 objective lens with detection up to 2600 m, 2560×2560 AMOLED display and up to 14 hours of battery life with three 18650 batteries.
The Guide TU650S thermal riflescope is the long-range model of the TU 3.0 APEX VISION series: 640×512 sensor with 15 mK NETD, 50 mm F0.9 objective lens and detection up to 2600 m. It is the only TU 3.0 model without a rangefinder to have a 2560×2560 square AMOLED display and three 18650 batteries, for long nights of hunting.
Features
- 50 mm F0.9 objective lens: the largest in the TU 3.0 series. 3.7x to 29.6x magnification and an 8.8° × 7.0° field of view (15 × 12 m at 100 m), with a stated detection range of 2600 m (2800 yards).
- 640×512 sensor at 12 μm, 15 mK NETD: ApexVision S1 architecture (ApexCore S1 detector, Nexus 1.0 platform and Hyper-Light 2.0 algorithm) for a sharp, low-noise image even when zoomed in.
- 1.03-inch QHD AMOLED display (2560×2560): larger and higher in resolution than the 0.49-inch display of the TU435S and TU635S. The eyepiece has 60 mm eye relief and −5 to +5 dioptre adjustment.
- Up to 14 hours of operation: two built-in 18650 batteries plus one external 18650, which is hot-swapped without switching the scope off.
- 256 GB of memory: double that of the 35 mm TU 3.0 models, for photo and video with sound; recoil-activated recording saves 15 seconds of video and 5 photos of every shot.
- Uninterrupted image: shutterless 3.0 architecture during observation; the shutter module only operates at start-up and with sharp changes in temperature.
- Controls and connectivity: central focus wheel and zoom lever, 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for the TargetIR app (OTA firmware and ballistic calculation).
- Built for recoil: impact resistance up to 6000 J, IP68 waterproof and operation from −20 °C to 50 °C.
Why choose this model?
The TU650S is for those who observe and shoot further and spend many hours in the hide or high seat. The 50 mm objective lens brings the image closer than the 35 mm one, the 2560×2560 display with 60 mm eye relief is more comfortable and battery life reaches 14 hours.
The trade-off for that package is size: 921 g and 421 mm, against 745 g and 374 mm for the TU635S. Those who do not need a rangefinder get the most complete configuration in the series here; those who want to measure distances should look at the TU650LS.

How to choose
A longer objective lens trades field for range. The 50 mm lens of the TU650S sees a field 15 m wide at 100 m, against 21 m for the TU635S, but detects up to 2600 m instead of 1800 m. For hunting in open country and longer shots, it pays off; for dense cover and moving animals at close range, the TU635S is easier to aim. To know the exact distance to the target, the TU650LS adds a laser rangefinder up to 1200 m to this configuration.
Frequently asked questions
How many batteries does the Guide TU650S take?
Two built-in 18650s and one external 18650, which can be swapped without switching the scope off. Together they give up to 14 hours of operation.
What is the difference between the TU650S and the TU635S?
The TU650S has a 50 mm objective lens instead of 35 mm, a 2560×2560 display instead of 1920×1080, 256 GB instead of 128 GB and 14 hours instead of 8. It weighs 921 g, 176 g more.
Does the TU650S measure distance?
It has no rangefinder. The version with a laser rangefinder up to 1200 m and the same 50 mm lens is the TU650LS.
Can I adjust the TU650S image to my eyesight?
Yes. The eyepiece has −5 to +5 dioptre adjustment and 60 mm eye relief; image focus is set on the central wheel.
