How to choose

A spring air rifle is the simplest way to start: it needs no CO2 cartridges or air pump, you just cock and shoot. Gas-piston rifles replace the steel spring with a gas cylinder; PCP rifles give several shots in a row, but cost more and need high-pressure air. The 4.5 mm calibre has a flatter trajectory and cheaper pellets, which suits target shooting; 5.5 mm uses heavier pellets. Weight matters too: a light rifle like this one is less tiring in long sessions.

FAQ

What ammunition does it use?
Diabolo pellets in 4.5 mm (.177) calibre. It is worth trying two or three brands and weights and sticking with the one that groups best in this rifle.

Can I mount a scope?
Yes. The rifle has an 11 mm (dovetail) rail for mounting a scope with mounts of that size.

How is it cocked?
Break the barrel until the spring is cocked, load a pellet into the breech and close the barrel again. All of this is done with the rifle pointed in a safe direction.
